6 days!

Time has been speeding at a snails pace the past couple of months. I've been having a great time not working, spending lots of time with friends and family and just enjoying life for a bit. Its been really, really good. Suddenly this week its hit that OH MY GOD we're leaving in ONE WEEK!

Animals not quite sorted.

No idea on where to stay, not to mention how to get there.

The past two days have been a whirl of clothing and suitcases and reservations. Add to that, we've offered to have our nephew move in while we're gone to take care of the house and the pets. Thankfully he has said yes, so now I've got to figure out how to pack up my office in order to turn it in to a bedroom for him. At this point I think it would be easier to build a new room than to pack this one up. But, it WILL get done.

So, that's where we're at. 6 days til departure. We're booked into a hotel for the first week after arrival with the plan to shop for an apartment that meets our requirements. Hopefully we'll find something relatively quickly as we've been invited to a wedding in Takeo province (about 5 hours from Siem Reap) the first weekend of April, so we need to be settled in to a (semi) permanent residence before then.

But, even with all of the stress and drama we're both super excited to go.
